GASSP Technology Conference a BIG Success

GASSP's Using eNotepads in the Classroom: Everything You Need to Know spring professional development conference was a big success. Over 100 educators attended the day-long training at the Anderson Conference Center in Macon. The instruction was led by a team of teachers and administrators from Loganville High School and the iSchool Initiative group from Kennesaw State University . The conference featured techniques and procedures that educators could immediately implement in their classrooms.

The workshops were well attended and the participants had high marks for the explanation of the new state school evaluation process. The new evaluation system features 19 indicators, some of which are still in final formulation. Major emphasis is placed on student performance on EOCTs. The CCI is a major improvement on the old AYP formulation because if a school does poorly on one element and excels on another, the net result is positive for the school.
