Applications for the 2010-2011 Assistant Principal of the Year award are now available under the Opportunities tab. Assistant Principals of the Year will be chosen for both middle level and high schools and an overall winner will then be chosen to represent Georgia in the NASSP competition. Deadline for applications is October 4, 2010.

Congratulations are in order for Dr. Steve Miletto, member of the GASSP Board of Directors, who has been named principal at Centennial High School in Fulton County. Yeah Steve!

GASSP with the able help of GSSA staffers has begun a coaching program for new high school and middle school principals. The GASSP Board of Directors has adopted the 2010-2011 Strategic Plan as the organization's plan for this year. Readers are encouraged to review the Strategic Plan which can be found at the Strategic Plan tab of this web site. The Board of Directors updated the plan at the Summer GAEL Conference in July.
